My kids were sick this week. When I was cleaning downstairs on Monday, Sam fell asleep in my bed while they watched a show on the computer. Maddie covered him up with a quilt:

I kicked out a crockpot recipe. You MUST try it. Delicious.
What's not to love about black beans, beef short ribs, pork, bacon, and a ham hock? Oh yeah, and it's cooking light. Super satisfying.
And painting for one almost-two-year-old means a self portrait. As in, painting his own face:
